Wellness Counselor - Remote - Hours 9:30am - 6:00pm CST id-1184

Provides virtual telephonic wellness focused assessment, consultation, education, and referrals. May provide support to the triage team for assessments and critical incident response. When required, supports non-medical counseling services.
  • Provides virtual wellness coaching to participants/members utilizing coach methodologies to include motivational interviewing skills with a goal to solicit change for achieving personal wellness goals.

  • Assesses for confidence in goal achievement and monitors progress on goal attainment during each coaching session.

  • Advises and educates on the important requirements for a healthy lifestyle. Assists in identifying risk factors. 

  • Provides program information and education about EAP services, guidelines, and policies in an accurate and courteous manner.

  • Collaborates with internal/external resources providing a comprehensive plan of care with appropriately defined interventions.

  • Disseminates surveys to members to evaluate member satisfaction and program success.

  • Documents participant contact and activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Demonstrates flexibility in areas such as job duties and schedule to aid in providing quality program delivery and being a member of a high-performance team.

  • All other duties as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    Master's degree in behavioral health or related field.

    2+ years of behavioral health experience after receiving degree.

    Demonstrated experience in wellness coaching.

    Sensitively and compassionately responds to participants. 

    Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in wellness coaching and solution-focused, problem-solving counseling.

    Interacts effectively at all levels both within the company and with external customers.

    Effectively manages caseload and documentation requirements

    Meets productivity targets and quality management expectations.

    Experienced and demonstrates skill in using technology applications.

    Develops effective working relationships with peers within and across organizational lines.

    Comfortable with ambiguity and stress while handling a variety of assignments.

    Maintain a positive, achievement-oriented attitude and consistent in accomplishing expected objectives.
